There were running late, of course, they should have been at the party almost an hour ago.  A party that would be talked of for centuries to come, no less.  But neither that nor all of time and space at his feet could have made him move.  He was exactly where he wanted to be, content to watch her as she kissed their most precious ones to sleep.
